It does not change the price you pay. Sponsored and partner placements are labeled. Our lake rankings and editorial picks are not for sale.

How we make money (full disclosure, FTC)

In accordance with the US Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), Musky Atlas, a Brand Forge property ([LEGAL ENTITY - CONFIRM]), discloses the following material connections:

  • Affiliate commissions. Many product, retailer, resort, and service links on the Site are affiliate links (including, as applicable, links to musky retailers, tackle shops, manufacturer stores, outdoor retailers, and booking or lead platforms). If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase or booking, the seller may pay us a commission or referral fee at no additional cost to you.
  • Paid partner and featured listings. Resorts, lodges, guides, tackle shops, and manufacturers may pay for listing features on the Site, such as a featured card placement, enhanced photos and packages, a showcase or brand page, inclusion in a live presentation or product launch event, or a destination feature. Paid placements are clearly labeled (for example, "Featured," "Sponsored," "Partner," or a similar label on the listing or section).
  • Sponsorships. A sponsor may pay to present a Site tool, series, event, summit, or forecast feature (for example, a presenting sponsor for MuskyCast or the Trolling Depth Lab). Sponsored features are labeled with the sponsor's name.
  • Memberships and our own products. We sell our own memberships (Musky Atlas Pro), digital information products, and live event tickets. That is a direct commercial relationship with us, described on the relevant sales pages.
  • Free or discounted products. If we receive a free, loaned, or discounted product, trip, or service for review or content, we will disclose it in that content.

What partners pay for, and what they do not

  • Partners pay for placement features, presentation, and lead delivery as described above. Labels make that visible.
  • Rankings are editorial and not pay-to-rank. Our lake scores and tiers (for example, the Musky Atlas Score), Top Lakes lists, gear evidence summaries, and editorial recommendations are determined by our stated methodology and editorial judgment. A business cannot pay to raise a lake score, change a ranking, remove a competitor, or obtain a positive review.
  • A partner may appear prominently because it paid for a featured placement and separately be included in an editorial ranking because it earned that position. Where both apply, the paid placement is still labeled.
  • Verified catch counts and gear evidence shown on product pages come from user catch logs under our Catch Log and Photo Policy. They are not purchased testimonials. Individual reviews, quotes, and testimonials, where used, reflect the person's stated experience; results in fishing vary and no catch is guaranteed.

Prices and availability change

Prices, colors, specifications, packages, rates, and availability shown on the Site are taken from retailer, manufacturer, and partner sources at the time of publication or last check, and can change at any time without notice. The price and terms on the seller's site at checkout control. Currency is shown as provided by the source; Canadian and US prices are not interchangeable. Report a wrong price through the Site contact and we will review it, but we are not responsible for a third party's pricing error.

This disclosure is linked in the Site footer, stated near affiliate buy buttons and product modules, repeated in summary form on gear, lake, resort, and brand pages, and included in sponsored content and live presentations. See our Compliance Checklist for the required placements. If any content does not make a material connection clear, tell us and we will fix the labeling.
